Street legal rides return to legendary Thunder Valley for Thursday's Roadrunner Market Street Fights.

This Thursday will be the second to last Power Hour of the season. Racers have been earning points all season long in hopes of taking home the Champion's trophy and jacket. Points have been tallied from the past four events and broken down into two divisions, cars and bikes.

In the car division, Matthew Ballou of Bristol ,Tenn. is the points leader with a total of 160 points. In the bikes division we have a tie atop the leader board between Chris Friis of Kingsport, Tenn. and Chris Johnson of Elizabethton, Tenn. Both racers have 120 points and are looking to take home the title.

Racers also will have a chance to join the 150 MPH club this Thursday night. Any racer who completes a run at, or quicker than, the night's 150 mile per hour requirements receives a special club decal and reserves their place as one of the quickest machines to run the legendary strip.

Racers and spectators may save $5 off admission to this Thursday's event when proving purchase of a Pepsi and Frito-Lay product from any Roadrunner Markets location.

Gates open Thursday at 5 p.m. with racing starting at 6 p.m. Cost to participate is $10 for racers, $15 for trailered cars and $5 for spectators. Anyone who purchased tickets for the Saturday, March 29 Street Fights may show their ticket at the gate to receive free admission to one additional 2014 Street Fights event.
